Jon

Hey there, I’m Jon. I’m really happy to be able to live out my passion for youth work and the Gospel by working in the Padgate area, focussed around Padgate Academy but also working with partner churches in the area.

All in, I’ve been doing youth work for around 30 years (yes, I’m old), first as a young volunteer in my church, going on to be a youth pastor. I’ve also mentored churches in youth work internationally, especially in the areas of creativity and use of multi-media.

I’m the son of a preacher-man, and have been serving in churches in one way or another since I was 11. My own experiences growing up as a young Christian in a secular world inform and educate my relationships with unchurched young people today, who I have a great passion to reach.

Fun Facts About Jon

Outside of youth work, I love making music, either playing various instruments or producing bands. I also enjoy filmmaking, and I’m a huge cinephile. Most weekends you’ll find me at the movies.

Likes

My wife, my son, my camera (in that order but not in equal ratio). Pizza, hot sunny days, “good” music, movies movies movies. 

Dislikes

Singing (weird, I know!), the cold, and getting out of bed
