The Champion Tour in Warrington:
Reaching 3000 students from across four high schools over a week in March with a message of hope was such a privilege to see. A collective of musicians came together to create ‘The Champion Tour’ to talk to students about ‘The Champion’ that lies within each one of them! @NiCola @itscavell @crownfreedom together with rapha_therapy_services came to a number of our schools to deliver a cutting edge presentation on aspects of mental health and the Christian faith. At the end of the week many of the students came along to our FUSE event where the team performed their music and gave a gospel testimony that saw over 40 young people respond! Praise God, that still, in our day, the gospel is as relevant for those young people as it as ever been since its inception.
It’s important that when young people respond to find out more about Jesus that they are followed up. The Lord said – make disciples (not just responders) after all, so it’s up to our staff workers to get these guys plugged into our ‘Fresh’ (after school) groups where they can be guided closer to Jesus and gain understanding of who Jesus is and what he is calling them to do. It’s also important to connect these young people into local church communities where they can become part of ‘The Body’ and begin to thrive in the faith!
