“I was encouraged to see so many young people that I have connected with in school come to Fuse. Signing them in on the door and seeing familiar faces from RE lessons, youth drop-in, and those who I’ve simply chatted with in the school canteen, was really exciting for me.

“There was one young person in particular who I was thrilled to see. She has always seemed very suspicious, and sometimes humoured, by faith and the idea that I (or anyone) could believe in God. Nevertheless, she came along to Fuse with her friends. After she had enjoyed the silent disco and other activities, there came the time for Cavell’s talk, and I expected her to leave or disengage. But I sat, watching and praying, as she listened so intently to Cavell share his faith. She seemed so mesmerised by what he had to say.

“This is a girl who we have built a relationship with over the last couple of years, and I really hope that this is a turning point for her – not just in her opinion of Christians and church, but in her beliefs about God and who He is. Please pray that the seeds sown in her heart would bear fruit.”
