“This past year has been difficult, due to restrictions making it hard to get back to normal in some of our schools. However although this has been tough, it has also presented a new opportunity in Padgate High School running a lunchtime and after-school club.
This has gone really well over the last few months, and we have now found ourselves with growing opportunities in the school with PE and RE lessons. The school has become an open door for Youth for Christ meaning we have more chances to connect with young people, share the gospel, and build relationships with staff too.
It has been interesting to see how God can use a closed door in one place to open another one, and over the last six months I’ve seen God create space for Youth for Christ in Padgate in some amazing ways. We’re now living in times where the world thinks it doesn’t need God and young people have more distractions now than they have ever had, but it is an unbelievable blessing to see a school so open in such a small space of time.”
